Simon Bar Sinister Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 the Leland DIDN'T make the 10 Dirtiest Hotels In America List! http://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/local-beat/10-Dirtiest-Hotels-in-the-US--95521524.html
n0Mad Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 That's because it's so horrible, the judges were afraid to stay there.
jadnifer Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I've heard that it's pretty horrible. I've never stayed there and this post is making me very glad of that. I know City is really bad so if where you have to sleep is like that, count me out.
hunhee Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I've stayed at the Leland, and I've stayed at some dirty crappy ass hotels, and yes, there is worse than the Leland. I have been there. I'm not saying a whole lot worse, but there is definitely worse.

Dont answer that! I am only staying at the Ritz hotel from now on!
torn asunder Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 i've stayed at the leland several times, and i don't think it's that bad. i've spent more on worse before. i can see why it didn't make the list, if they only included habitable rooms/floors - however, if they were to include the war-zone floors, as i like to call them, the place would be right on top of the list. 1st time i stayed there, i was tired of waiting for the elevator & decided to take the stairs. i made it to the start of the 2nd floor, saw broken concrete, steel rebar, and zero lights, & wondered "what the hell have i gotten myself into!?" even so, never really had an issue with the place.

How many floors are like that....I think it would be fun, yet scary to explore. I've never actually stayed at the Leland but want to just to say that I have.
Enishi Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 The room I stayed in once wasn't great, but wasn't horrible either. I would like to someday explore the FORBIDDEN floors however.
prick Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 I have stayed at so many places and none were as bad as the Leland.
