Someone recently introduced me to The Chemical Brothers via the song "Get Yourself High". Can't get the song out of my head or off my CD/MP3 player.

I currently have queued up "Bass Test" and "Dig Your Own Hole".

You really need to listen to squaremeter.. they're my new favorite. They have Indian/eastern instruments and singing along with an incredable dance beat. Makes you want to take belly dancing just to dance to it.(something I will do as soon as I'm well).

If you like that type of thing I would really like to recommend "Wider Angel" by "Hybrid"... super complex electro/techno with the use of a full string section, and female vocals.

May sound strange, but typically, I don't like groups with female fronts as much as I do those with males. However, I'm always up to give anything a listen.

I'll be looking for the specific songs that everyone pointed out above.

Thanks folks!

Phee, what got my attention in "Get Yourself High" was the transition between one portion of the song to another portion. Such as where they go from (what sounds like) just simple keyboards/twangy noises into a "full" sound.

Also, can anyone explain about "drum & bass"? Does this group count as such? I keep hearing about it and people telling me that I'll like it but I'm not sure where to start, so to speak.

NC, thanks for the correction and I'll *definately* listen to your recommendations from now on since I DO remember you posting about the Chemical Brothers before ;)
