i'll tell you something - i wasn't thinking when i got mine done, and took the cycle up to the shop. i thought it hurt like hell when i got them done, but that was nothing compared to when i went home - i thought i was gonna pass out, the way my shirt was flapping against them the whole ride home!

but something that really works for the pain is alternating tylenol and ibuprofen every three hours. this means 6 hrs between doses of each, and they don't interfere with each other. i was surprised at how effective it was! my piercings were reasonably comfortable within a few days...

during getting pierced it doesn't hurt more than any other piercing but after its pretty sore and feels like someone is constantly pinching your nipples lol but the pain is not great enough that I would say not to get them.

probably I don't have any tattoos and I would imagine getting a tattoo is more painful

If pain is an issue the only thing I can suggest is having it set up so they're pierced at the same time. One person on each side doing them both at once. I got them done one at a time and the second one definately hurts more. Pretty sure I screamed

yeah, they must be sympathetic/connected, because i had mine done one at a time, and the 2nd was def. more intense. but really, it's only a few seconds of pain (and a day or two of aching) compared to how long a tattoo takes.

I had mine done before. I wanna have them redone. I been thinking about it. Tattoos well I dont think they hurt as much. Of all piercings I must say the niplpes were the worst but not as bad as I had imagined. I got a high tolerance to pain anyways.

Getting my nipple pierced was much more painful than any tattoo I've gotten.

Ive actually heard that its worse for guys as womens breasts are meant to take some pain via breast feeding.

It hurts, dont get me wrong, but once its done its not thaaat bad.

If i were going to get a piercing, i would have to say it would not be the one that transforms my nipples into being removable. I'll stick with being tattooed.
