Can you point out the "how"? I don't see it in that article or any other I have read... not even in excerpts of his new book. I know it's Hawkings.. one of the smartest men that ha ever lived... but I don't buy his "Because I said so" arguement. He never actually gives an explination as to what destabalized the super particle.

Perhaps I should have put this in the books thread, and the discussion of the actual concepts after the book is out should go here *shrugs*. Having not read the book, I can't really comment.
