Marblez Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Hello everyone.........Ether Aura is a new musical project that features ex members of 90's neo-goth group Caelum Bliss. If you like bands such as Slowdive, Mazzy Star, My Bloody Valentine, Echobelly and other Brit/Shoegazer groups, I invite you to check out the music of Ether Aura at: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/8/etheraura.htm This was posted in the original DGN. I was so excited to see the post. A few years back, pre-DGN and honestly before I knew anything "goth", I saw a band at Magic Bag called "Deathgirl.com" I fell in love instantly. Not only was this total eyecandy on stage, but the sound and the singer's voice was amazing. I did some checking on them and found that she had been a part of the even then defunct Caelum Bliss. Very shortly thereafter, Deathgirl.com broke up and I had heard nothing since. Well, it appears that she is back. I think it is her anyway. I checked out the site and was again ravished by the fantastic sounds. I urge everyone to check them out.
firewerk66 Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 Hey thanks for checking out Ether Aura at Soundclick.com, glad you liked the music. While there are two of us that were in Caelum Bliss, its not the vocalist. Her name is Katherine (Melissa was the CB/deathgirl singer). The two CB members in Ether Aura are myself (Tony/guitars) & William who plays the drums. Also in the group is Sweatysuedelips' Brett who is playing the bass. We are still a fairly new project, still writing and rehearsing to gear up for our first live gig. I'll will keep DetroitGothic users up to date on any Ether Aura news.

Also in the group is Sweatysuedelips' Brett who is playing the bass. Is sweatysuedelips not around any longer? I would put them in the same category as Deathgirl, I had seen them play around the same time. Unfortunately, I lost track because at that time my general friend base was unwilling to follow the local music scene. And please, do keep us updated.
Nerdcore Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 thank you for pleaseing my ears to this new sound
Onyx Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 I like! glad you posted this. I can not get the first song to play though. "All Doves Grey" is an intriguing title.

I believe he's still writing music under that name and may resurface in the future.
firewerk66 Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 The Ether Aura website is now up and running......its still under construction, but functional. http://www.etheraura.com
Scary Guy Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 Awesome, it's bookmarked. It's very Cocteau Twins meets rock & roll Can't wait for a show at Mephisto's, though nothing is confirmed yet still I'm positive we'll get something going soon.
