ICP's musical style = not so much

On a scale from Sisters of Mercy to Emminem (SOM being a 10 and M&M being a 0 (because he is a 0)) They get a 3.9. Which I suppose you can round down to 0 if you really want but they are at least in some parts gothic. You HAVE to admit that.

I dont think they ever consider themselves goth before, of course they defintely have a dark feel to em though. The only thing I've heard em consider themselves before was FREAK but I guess that could count hehe.....

Goth=anything with a dark natured feel to it. ICP most definately has that. So they aren't goth in the traditional sense, but are still goth (just like industrial is goth).

MSI < ICP (I can't state that enough) and if MSI gets to be gothic/industrial then so does ICP.

OK lets put it this way, if you can present an accurate definition of what goth is and prove why ICP does not fit that description I will accept that.

Until that point in time comes (it hasn't yet and probably never will, thats why my definition fits so well as it's the most accurate without being right) they're still goth (just not in musical style).

By that deffinition though, Sisters of Mercy, Clan of Xymox, Alien Sex Fiend, The Merry Thoughts, The Fields of the Nephilim, The Mission UK, Faith and the Muse, Gothica, Wench, and about a zillion other bands defined as "goth" under the commonly accepted "even Greg says it's goth" deffinition of what "goth" is, are NOT in fact "goth".
