Life on mars? This man is a god

David Bowie shows the full realization of what one man can do on this earth if he meets the right drag queens.

Saw him with NIN years ago. Only man on the planet (other than janes addiction) who can say no sir you open for me.

I don't hate him. There are songs I like of his and since I grew up in the 90s the Goblin King does have a special place in my childhood heart. I don't really get what the huge fuss is about though, much like with Nirvana. Personally, I also don't understand how he became appraised more than Gary Numan, who imo is much more talented, was a more original pioneer on the musical map, and well, looks better .

*winces*

I attempt too many arguments on this forum. Usually my points kill threads, so I won't bother here. Suffice it to say, goth as we know it owes nearly everything to Bowie. He is one of the most creative people in the history of popular music. Sure, he has not done anything musically significant for the decades since Scary Monsters, but what he accomplished in the seventies is unrivaled, unprecedented, and in some ways, unsurpassed.

I think it's safe to say that I owe nearly everything I am to the day that I first heard this album.
