According to this City Club can now sell booze on Christmas. From www.mlive.com

Michigan's revised liquor laws allow more options to buy booze on Christmas Day.

The same legislation that allows Sunday morning alcohol sales in the state also permits sales on Christmas Eve through 11:59 p.m. and on Christmas Day after noon.

Previous law banned sales from 9 p.m. Dec. 24 through 7 a.m. Dec. 26.

No extra permits are required to sell alcohol on Christmas. But local communities can pass resolutions or ordinances that continue to ban the sale of alcohol on the holiday.

Michigan lawmakers and Gov. Jennifer Granholm changed alcohol sales laws late this year. The first Sunday morning sales were allowed Dec. 19 for retailers buying necessary permits.

Can they even sell booze on Christmas?

What a stupid thing to have to ask. >.<

PS - Just so you don't misconstrue what I'm saying - I'm NOT saying you're stupid, just the idea that there are days that you can't buy alcohol because of what is nominally, a religious holiday. But pretend I didn't open that can of worms... ;-)

Actually up until just like last week bars and stores couldn't sell booze on Christmas by state law. So it was a relevant question.
