Superman Can't Fly

SUPERMAN CAN'T FLY

he is able to "Leap" tall buildings in a single bound, do to the different gravity on his home planet...like the astronauts on the moon.

he has no method of propulsion, and certainly can't HOVER!

the movies screwed this up forever, because now I have to debate this all the time. Does anyone else out there know this as well?

no it wouldn't, they're who I'm talking about

they didn't make him fly

they simply created him to defy our gravity

they never descriped any type of propulsion

Comic charactors change over time. People tend to forget that The Hulk can leap buildings in a single bound and that his main mode of travel was 7-10 miles jumps. That has been left out of every movie and the moderen comics.

I agree

for all the things I hated about the Hulk movie, I did like that they made him more powerful and bigger than the old TV show, more like the comic

and yes characters change, but all of Superman's abilities come from the fact that he's from Krypton, so new authors and artists can't just go changing these facts

Ok after research:

Float you are right....and wrong.

Superman at one point when he first started on Action Comics could not fly but he has been able to fly since the early 1940's. Actually Superman originally was a bald villain who looked like Satan. So technicly you are correct but he CAN fly NOW.

He does too. BEANS!!!!!

Super bowels and glutei control the speed at which the gas escapes thereby allowing hovering and propulsion and if he needs an extra boost he zaps it with heat vision.

That explains the Con Trail when he spun the earth backwards in the movie.
