pleasurekatzen Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 (edited) I'll be there My girl Stefanie is his drummer, my friend Aaron is his bassist, and Ty Stone and The Truth (all very close friends) are opening! While Kid Rock is most certainly not my cup of tea, it's how my friends make a living doing what they loves AND an opportunity for a another friends band from Detroit to play for somewhere in the neighborhood of 55,000-65,000 people. Pretty awesome for them, if you ask me Edited January 15, 2011 by pleasurekatzen
KatRN05 Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 I went to one of his concerts at DTE in August. I'm not a huge fan of his music, I don't hate it. I do have to say he puts on a great show. He's awesome live.
Joey Deadcat Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Checking this thread to see if it was meant to be ironic...
pleasurekatzen Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Ended up being an amazingly entertaining evening. Despite everyone being like, "Zomg Kid Rock, we can't like this thread!!!111We're spookyy!!!we swear!!!111" Once again, amazing to see a hardworking group of musicians from Detroit get some amazing love from people who traveled from all over the country to be there, but also seeing so many people from so many different scenes (rock and roll, rnb, techno, industrial, folk, post-punk) there supporting them (Most surprising part of the evening for me? Sheryl Crow talking to me about Front 242. Kinda cool! Props to my Detroit musicians who performed tonight and did what they love to a crowd who truly supported them, and those who showed up to support their fellow Detroiters in what they do
phee Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Yes... people should like what they like... Kidrock, Gaga, N Nync.... if you like it than like it.... screw everyone else, and enjoy yourself.
Simon Bar Sinister Posted January 16, 2011 Author Posted January 16, 2011 (Most surprising part of the evening for me? Sheryl Crow talking to me about Front 242. Kinda cool! now i love her even more. :D
