DJ Nocker Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 After being an extra and hearing how much all the people hated Detroit, im not surprised they didnt stop sooner.
wormsinwombs Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 WTF why would they end this?! It provides jobs and there's a great chance Michigan can become something great :(
Mypet_Monster Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Hey, I work extensivly in the motion biz here in Michigan and I can tell you that the bill passed for the tax incentive is good for the next 15 years. Doing away with it will not hurt anyone for a long time. As a mater of fact I am working on a feature right now and also in the process of bringing a few music videos here. The problem with the industry right now is everyone is coming here to take advantage of the tax credit and then leaving. You can always google the michigan film office and see what it going on your self. Here is a link: http://www.michiganfilmoffice.org

While Hollywood is still booming in MI I want to try to get into some films myself, but who doesn't, ya know. That's why instead of taking the one-in-a-million actor approach, I'm starting on the writing end of things instead. Even if I never have anything made into a movie, I'm sure I can at least get published. That's amazing, thanks for the update and good luck with your productions.
