1984+Netflix-WTF?

Just wondering if anyone may have heard about why Netflix no longer distributes 1984.

At one point I had it in my queue but before it hit my #1 slot it became available for instant view. Out it goes from my dvd queue and into my instant view queue.

Before I got around to watching I canceled every media subscription I had except the internet so I could save some choe.

I get Netflix back and no 1984.

Certain titles are only available on instant for a certain amount of time. I've noticed that it tells me right under the title when I add it on the 360, but not on the ps3, and not always on the website. I've also had a few things that were supposed to be limited time things not disappear from my queue when they were supposed to.

Ah, but even the dvd is no longer available.

I should have made that a tad clearer.

You cant get 1984 from Netflix at all.

That's weird. I can still add it to my dvd queue, but it also says it is unknown when it will be available. I wonder if everyone who rented it just kept it...

Most likely, either that or it got lost in the mail. Frequently stuff that is no longer available for streaming will become available again as well so keep checking every few months. That happened to me with Farscape season 3. They took it down when I was half way through watching it only to put it back up 2 months later.

When I went to add it I got the green save button, that put it in my Saved DVD queue.

That means that they don't have a copy of it available to send out and they don't have a copy sent out either.

Just like "Romeo & Juliet vs. the Living Dead" and "Tao of M".
