DeadBurgerKing (10) Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 This is the part where everyone starts to hate me.... I never heard any songs from a goth band. I've heard the sex pistols and rancid, but that's about it. What got me into the goth scene was more of the ideology and the things I liked wearing. Heck if any of you asked me I wouldn't even know who to listen to. I listen to pretty much anything. I tend to listen to alternative rock the most. though. Don't feel bad. I'm not much for Goth or Industrial. I mean, I don't HATE it. It's just not a lot out there that's on MY personal play list. I'm more of a punk guy myself. (I can't remember if I said that already.)
Vodkabot Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 The 1993 remastered version of Alice by The Sisters of Mercy got me interested in the genre. SoM is still my favorite goth rock band.

DJDeadbeat Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Spinner Radio/Radio@Netscape Plus back in middle school. Turned me onto Bauhaus, Clan of Xymox, Sol Invictus, Death in June, Christian Death, then I dived more into gothic punk/batcave and spent every free moment I had researching bands and falling more in love. Hours on Soulseek, reading old zines, blogs, etc. Goth made me into a pretentious asshole. I love it.
