DGN @ City Club, Saturday, June 25th

Come. Join us. Meet us. Hang out. We're not that scary in person, really.

Leland City Club

400 Bagley Street

Downtown Detroit

You enter by going through an unmarked door on the First Street side of The Leland Hotel building just before the gated parking area on the side of the building nearest 1st Street. The club is at the top of the stairwell. (see picture in the link above in the DGN calendar entry)

All are welcome. Come meet some of us weirdos.

Saturday nights from 10:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.

Alcoholic drinks until 2:00 a.m., pop and juices served all night.

Admission is $4

18 and up, 21 to drink with proper ID (no exceptions).

No drugs, weapons, chains or spikes.

(The map isn't quite exact. The Ramada is located within the Bagley, 1st, Cass, Plaza Dr. block.)

I'll do my best do drag my broke ass out there again, and seriously when it hits like 8pm spam me with "hey! you getting ready yet?? Damit?" 734 637 3883. The plan will be as usual:

Try to get their early (due to whatever undeterimined means I can get there) to have a "calm down" period out in the car from like 10:30 to like 11:30 - if anyone wan'ts to come say hi / grab a bumper sticker / cards whatever - then roam in there and get to "the corner" by 12 then plant myself there from 12 - 2am , mainly so if any new people wander in they'll know where to go. (Look for the way too tall guy)

That map made me laugh. There should be some Xs by the bar for treasure and the ballroom area should be labeled, Here be monsters!

Good idea. I should redo the whole thing so it looks hand-made and on parchment with monsters and a dotted line leading to the treasure. =P

That map tells me that you are from the 80s, because it is ultra NES Legend of Zelda :rofl:.

It predates "graphics" altogether with the ASCII text , maybe a text-based MUD system for making an "image" (and thus predates CC and my entire life *queue eerie music*. :fear: ) Although I stole it from Jaraod or rather co-opted it to show a different location.

I did play the heck out of Zelda: A Link to the past contemporaneously. (Some reason Im thinking that was like 91 ish) the one i remember playing a TON were the two for the original NES.

Ok the car situation is iffy as its in the shop, not sure if it's going to be done in time or not. Hopefully I'll still get down there somehow regardless though. Gotta keep my One-in-a-row DGN Night streak going. hah.

I'll be there! I have a black line across my eyes, and a white line with black dots down my forehead :) I'm feeling a bit like a warrior queen tonight!

I hope tonight isn't filled with prepwads, and jock-nuts. Its been a hard week, and I don't want any bologna, so the first jackhole who messes with me is going to get snonkered! XD

      I know the feeling! So get this, when I was stuck in ABQ I decided to re-activate my phone. Now, for years I have been running a Straight Talk Mobile Hotspot for wifi instead of paying for actual phone service, because I get more data for 50 bucks on the wifi plan than I would get for the same price for my phone plan, and I don't call anybody very often if ever, so it only made sense. Well while I was in ABQ I got desperate and decided I needed to make some phone calls so I walked down to Walmart to get a  45 dollar plan for my phone, only to realize that I had to walk back to walmart again (4 miles one way) to get a new Sim card, because the one I had was too old, apparently...  Anyway, literally the second I reactivate my phone - I got a phone call from a frickin' debt collector!  I mean it was so instantaneous that I assimed it was Straight Talk calling to confirm my activation or something - instead it was somebody with a foreign accent that I could barely understand, asking for whoever the person was that previously had the phone number I had just been assigned. . . I was so irritated with this fact.    And yeah now I'm getting multiple calls, daily, from everybody and their brother, looking for whoever the person was that used to have this number.  Wells Fargo, AT&T, etc etc.    I think there needs to be some better way of doing this. Recycling phone numbers as fast as we do this day & age isn't working out very well. 🤷

      I have no idea why I'm even on all of these call lists that are on Robo-Dial by A.I.  One is a female voice and the other is a male voice and all they did was change the name that they give you.  I did get put through to a few live people to try to ask them to remove me from their list, but they, the telemarketer, hung up on me.   It's like I'm living "Telemarketers Revenge" for all the years of people handing up on them.   I always spoke with the telemarketer and then wished them a good day before hanging up.  And this is what I get for all of my decades of kindness.  I don't think I deserve this, but the World has lost a lot of the niceties that it used to have when I was growing up.  And no...COVID did not cause this.  I'm also getting tired of that excuse.  Its been 6 years!  People felt they were given the Green Light to be anti-social and rude to your face and now it is part of society just like everything else Mainstream adopts and considers it a cultural add-on.   I just hope I can survive this onslaught of calls blowing up my phone until it dies down.  Else, I will place a block on my number and only allow calls from family, friends and medical associated with my job.

      This is crazy.   I had to mute my phone because I am getting 50+ calls a day regarding Life Insurance, Medical Insurance, Burial Benefits, a Senior Food Expense Card, a Senior Social Security monthly reimbursement benefit, etc., and I don't qualify for any of it.  I don't even meet the age requirement.   At current, I have 53 missed calls and 38 of them were from yesterday.
