DGN @ City Club, Saturday, July 2nd

Come. Join us. Meet us. Hang out. We're not that scary in person, really.

Leland City Club

400 Bagley Street

Downtown Detroit

You enter by going through an unmarked door on the First Street side of The Leland Hotel building just before the gated parking area on the side of the building nearest 1st Street. The club is at the top of the stairwell. (see picture in the link above in the DGN calendar entry)

All are welcome. Come meet some of us weirdos.

Saturday nights from 10:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.

Alcoholic drinks until 2:00 a.m., pop and juices served all night.

Admission is $4

18 and up, 21 to drink with proper ID (no exceptions).

No drugs, weapons, chains or spikes.

I will probably end up there :) glitch leaves for a week the next day, so we'll probably hit it up.

It makes me sad, but happy that he actually posts them, so I don't have to try and do it at 6am with a blackout hangover. Good man that SK.

90% chance of troy sighting (which means I'm going, just a lot of factors I have going can get in the way randomly)

Gotta get my DGN Night streak up to 3 in a row. (The goal is 10 for me atm) I'll let myself off the hook if one of these weekends there is something that costs like $20 bucks.

I do have fun, but mainly i go through all the crap I have to go through health/logistics wise to go out for DGN, more than "to party". Kind asinine to have DGN Night and not have any "DGN Management" there. CC is large, typically has a lot of DGN "type" or "likely to like" DGN people there, and is for a lot of people the "entry point" to the scene, despite any issues with the place, plus its 18+ which is a huge issue for many, which would cut out a ton of 1. DGNers and 2. possible people that we could talk into DGN, that a 21+ place not even let in the door and its open super late, which allows for more people to go than might otherwise if they had something to do beforehand..

But seriously at like 8-9 call/txt me to get my ass moving if its not already. 734 637 3883. "Hey TROY GET YOUR ASS IN GEAR" sounds about right.

I'm going to ATTEMPT to keep my ass (generally) in the "DGN Corner" but we still have a huge lack of promotion so I may have to wander out but I'll try to stay there from 12 to 2. But depending on how late I get there it might not be realistic. (Still having transportation issues for various reasons)

Used to love them guys. (I think i have all their albums up until like er.. 95 or so) Hope to see you next week.

      I know the feeling! So get this, when I was stuck in ABQ I decided to re-activate my phone. Now, for years I have been running a Straight Talk Mobile Hotspot for wifi instead of paying for actual phone service, because I get more data for 50 bucks on the wifi plan than I would get for the same price for my phone plan, and I don't call anybody very often if ever, so it only made sense. Well while I was in ABQ I got desperate and decided I needed to make some phone calls so I walked down to Walmart to get a  45 dollar plan for my phone, only to realize that I had to walk back to walmart again (4 miles one way) to get a new Sim card, because the one I had was too old, apparently...  Anyway, literally the second I reactivate my phone - I got a phone call from a frickin' debt collector!  I mean it was so instantaneous that I assimed it was Straight Talk calling to confirm my activation or something - instead it was somebody with a foreign accent that I could barely understand, asking for whoever the person was that previously had the phone number I had just been assigned. . . I was so irritated with this fact.    And yeah now I'm getting multiple calls, daily, from everybody and their brother, looking for whoever the person was that used to have this number.  Wells Fargo, AT&T, etc etc.    I think there needs to be some better way of doing this. Recycling phone numbers as fast as we do this day & age isn't working out very well. 🤷

      I have no idea why I'm even on all of these call lists that are on Robo-Dial by A.I.  One is a female voice and the other is a male voice and all they did was change the name that they give you.  I did get put through to a few live people to try to ask them to remove me from their list, but they, the telemarketer, hung up on me.   It's like I'm living "Telemarketers Revenge" for all the years of people handing up on them.   I always spoke with the telemarketer and then wished them a good day before hanging up.  And this is what I get for all of my decades of kindness.  I don't think I deserve this, but the World has lost a lot of the niceties that it used to have when I was growing up.  And no...COVID did not cause this.  I'm also getting tired of that excuse.  Its been 6 years!  People felt they were given the Green Light to be anti-social and rude to your face and now it is part of society just like everything else Mainstream adopts and considers it a cultural add-on.   I just hope I can survive this onslaught of calls blowing up my phone until it dies down.  Else, I will place a block on my number and only allow calls from family, friends and medical associated with my job.

      This is crazy.   I had to mute my phone because I am getting 50+ calls a day regarding Life Insurance, Medical Insurance, Burial Benefits, a Senior Food Expense Card, a Senior Social Security monthly reimbursement benefit, etc., and I don't qualify for any of it.  I don't even meet the age requirement.   At current, I have 53 missed calls and 38 of them were from yesterday.
