And your nerd power is FAIL because it was called a sarlacc.

Luls are you getting upset over this? Thought this was just friendly banter here O:

I'm super upset that neither of you are talking about pirates OR ninjas...I want the click I used on this thread back, false advertisement :crybaby:.

Ha you think you have the power to make me upset, Robots don't cry but are always up for a good debate. I know I'm right, I don't require you to agree.

Uh huh.

I concur. This whole thread started turning to fail when the conversation deviated from anything other than pirates or ninjas. All this zombie/robot crap deserves its own thread instead of pirating this one, which, is further proof that pirates are better.

I agree with all but the end of your statement the hybrid is the best of both sides.

We all know, that it is robots who will win.

Robots, zombies are retarded and an invasion wouldn't be possible like they make it look in the movies.

Posted

the zombies would be easy pickins, because:

a) they'd never attack the robots because they wouldn't recognize the robots as food, and

b) they would fall apart much quicker than the robots would.

Posted

Robot's hands down, they could pretty much ignore the zombies and still win.

Posted

Robots would scare me if they were the replicators from Stargate... Thems some scarey robots!

Zombies would just be fun! Walk around with a silenced gun of some sort and they'd be gone soon enough.

What about Mods vs. Rockers?

Robots would win. Even tho we all love Zombies their bite would be useless and thats most of their danger.

I like how I didnt even know I made this thread P:

It made me giggle.

When it comes right down to it, of our entire population at nearly 7 billion grows as is expected over the years til we have robotic technology on a self reliance level and the billions of our population became zombies. Simply put they wouldn't have enough resources to deal with so many.

I didn't do it personally, but I can explain what most likely occurred. A moderator probably saw your posts in the Pirates Vs Ninjas thread and realized those posts would be better suited for here, as they were indeed the "precursor" to this thread topic. When they were moved, since they are timestamped as being older than this topic's initial post, it put them in front of everything else in this topic.

It was TA. He even said so in the Pirates v. Ninjas thread. That man is on top of it, I'll tell ya.

Anyway, robots v. zombies is a dumb idea. Robots aren't a food source for zombies, so zombies aren't a threat to robots and robots have no logical impetus to destroy anything that is a natural predator to the humans that are trying to overthrow them. Chances are that the robots developed the zombies to destroy humans without having themselves to expend undue energy. Duh.

A better match-up is naturally replicating cyborgs (largely flesh with circuitry) v. reavers. Reavers both eat flesh and like to destroy personalities, especially those who establish order, so it's in their interest to attack cyborgs. Cyborgs would be disgusted by their anarchy. Much more likely scenario. And since reavers have the presence of mind to use technology, it's a considerably more interesting match-up.

What about cyborg zombies?

What about cyborg zombies?

Um, assuming that the brain would NOT be an organic part, but an inorganic intelligence, how could, say viral zombie-ism infect it? Same regarding radiation-based causes, and, though perhaps with increased likelihood, the weird mind-controlling radio waves? It just seems far less likely.

I mean, it's a flaw of the zombies in the first place: how can a non-functioning brain generate such directed activity as zombies possess? And the answer is usually that it's not non-functioning--just minimally functioning. So, unless the cyborgs you are proposing actually have brain matter that COULD be affected by the same biological agents as possess the human monster zombie of movie lore, I just can't run with that one. They would just reboot and maybe be very pissed that their flesh is rotting and go about growing themselves new bodies.

Now, if you want to propose cyborgs whose non-organic brains need to find new host bodies because the old ones rot away, I'm behind you, brother. That's creepy as fuck.

I've never seen it. I hope to correct that soon, though.
