Yeah, OK, I meant Hardee's, not Herdee's. Sue me.

if i really wanted fast food, like i was really going to do it, I'd say either Bray's or Telway because they have that Cadillac Coffee (both of them) but I've not stopped for that in a long time. I voted for Hardee's based on the fact that it's not around any more ( well...ok, there's like one left but...) and I think the rest of these places should really follow their example. I just have a thing against factory restaurants.

There, i just invented a term on your thread Ms. M. I did it because i care.

If I'm going to eat greasy fast food, it has to be Taco Bell. I loves me some Nachos Bellgrande or a Burrito Supreme, no onions/extra sour cream.

Well, I know where we're all going when Brenda comes to town. Paper Hearts can stay at home and eat sunflower seeds.

I believe that they lace it with a crack derivative, disguised as seasoning.

whatever it is....I need more!!!!

Speaking of Taco Bell: it'd be a great idea if they started serving Mexican food-

patzkis.

uh, man, you really need a spellchecker.

Ok I am torn. I love Burger King. BK Veggies, veggie whoppers, fries with onion ring sauce. The breakfast menu is superb. Onion rings are crackalacking too. So then what is the problem? Plus that guy from Digital Underground once got busy in a burger king bathroom.

Well I love taco bell too, even though it is gross on occassion. And see MsM likes taco bell and I sort of like her (just a little bit) and we had a nice "date" at taco bell last week. But you have the 7 layer burritos, cheesy potatos, 1/2 lb bean burrito, etc.

I guess I will choose........taco bell.

actually I don't live in hamtramck right now, I did for a few years up until like a month and a half ago. I am 100% second generation Polish, my Father was born and raised in Czarny Dunjec, Polska.

So there is your BS9 history lesson for the day. Word playa.

I never heard of the new deluxe though. What is it? The best place is....damn I forget the name of it but it is on Jos Campaeu and it has the polish eagle on the awning and the outside is painted red. Crap I can't remember the names of anything anymore.

and yes most places have them year round. try the polish grocers too.

The New Deluxe Bakery is next door to the New Deluxe Deli (on Conant between Caniff and Davison about half-way) and it's generally considered 2nd to that really nice one on J. Campaeu that I don't know the name of.

I grew up in Hamtramck. New Deluxe Bakery is the BEST. Yes, I am VERY Polish too--on both sides of my family. That's just another reason why BS9 loves me. :wink

I'm not Polish but being a Detroiter I've (of course) known a lot of Polish people and so gotton to know their foods a bit. I had a bunch of friends (and still have quite a few) living in Hamtramck so i know it a bit, plus i woke up there more often than not back in the days of Motor Lounge. Some people do consider New Deluxe the best but most people I've talked to like the one on Campaeu. Anyway, anything Polish I've tried has been delicious.

A lot of people claim that New Palace or Oaza Bakery are really good, but I like New Deluxe better.

I think the Oaza bakery closed. Is that the one north of Caniff on Jos Campeau?

Wait. Is it New Polska Bakery-or something?
