Another Trixies coffee house?

Well almost, its callled Tracies corner cafe just north of 12 mile rd. on Hoover in Warren. They do an open mic night on sundays and tuesdays. It is like a Trixies reunion there. Many of the same musicians perform and Dave hosts tuesdays like he did at Trixies. Jeff is makin the coffee and so many of the old patrons are pouring in. So if you like myself and so many others miss ther old coffee house you must see this.

I never actually made it to trixies but I was told about it a ton, I guess i didnt realize it was gone. *sadface* Guess ill never make it now.

LOL. That's good. I remember being kicked out once cuz one of my friends (who was a female douche) refused to buy a drink even though the other two of us were paying customers. I guess technically she was the only one who was kicked out but of course we left with her. Shoulda let her go alone for being so ....whatever.

Odd that they'd hassle 1 of 3 people if the two others were paying customers, why alienate (potentially) 2 customers over the annoyance of 1. (although I'm guessing theres more to it.)

Take I-75 south to 696 east. Get off on the hoover/schoenherr rd. exit. Take hoover north just past 12 mile rd. on right side. The sign says The Beat coffee house altho its really Tracies corner cafe.

Is the atmosphere anything like Kubo or is it closer to CC?

I'm thinking of going, it is only a 15 minute drive.

I will keep an open mind so as not to have too many expectations.

Nah its just an ordinary coffee house where everyone looks normal but alot of talented people.

Tracey's Corner Cafe has been sold (as of a week ago) to longtime Trixie's stalwart Mike Anton, who graced Trixie's stage regularly. It's been renamed the Dovetail, and y'all can come see me opening for local singer-songwriter Lisa Hurt on Saturday, June 15. I believe we're starting the show at 7 PM and ending at 10 PM, so you can come see us and still get your club on in full afterwards. $5 donation. :D
