Found this, it made sense.

"My curfew was lightning bugs. My parents didn't call my cell, they yelled my name out the door. I played outside, not online. If I didn't eat what mom cooked, I didn't eat."

The good old times, when we end up our relationships properly with text messages.

Not just changing our FB status like today.

If you missed the cheese (the school bus), you ended up walking the five miles to school and was swatted on your knuckles with a ruler for being tardy. You prayed no one in the neighborhood heard or else you were reprimanded by every single adult you walked past then had your behind beat when you arrived home because one of the neighbors told your parents before the teacher even got the chance to call. Then you were grounded once the teacher called. Calling the cops wasn't an option because they'd just lecture you for being late in the first place.

I remember when the first push button phone came out. It was lightweight and looked more like a toy than the rotary phone. It was even more fun when the Princess Slimline phone came out and you put batteries in it so the keys lit up.

I remember when a "Jitney" in a parking lot was an older gentleman with a vehicle who would give courtesy rides home to women out shopping with young children.

I remember only having 3 channels on the tv. If you had cable you got maybe 6 channels. To make a long distance call you had to hit the 0 on the phone for the operator. And you got a real person not a recording. Then you told them who you wanted to make your call to. People use to write letters to each other. It was such a happy moment to go to the mail box and find a letter from your best friend or a relative that lived far away.

I'm sure to think of some more stuff latter cause I'm very old. LOL

I'm probably the oldest person still posting regularly, and I can honestly say that I've never felt old...well, other than the 1st time I heard U2 on WCSX.

WOW! That reminded me of my favorite stations when music was still good...we used to listen to "The Electrifying Mojo", Fox FM, WLLZ, WCSX, WRIF and WJOY. I miss those days...

I remember when it was taboo to air lingerie in TV commercials and the first one to air was the "Cross Your Heart Bra"
