Johnny Cash voice over/quote mid trailer.. hah nice.

Havn't seen it. You'd think being a BIIIG Civil war buff, and also liking vampire stuff I'd be instantly all over this, I mean it seems interesting (so did the book) but I just haven't looked into either much.

Trailer looks neat though.

Does anyone here know if the movie was good or not? o:

Metacritic, which is usually fairly accurate (as much as anything like this can be) rates it fairly low (although it is always pretty picky as it pools the more "well respected" critics together. Not that I always agree with critics assessments (although I do tend to rely on them a little as there is so much entertainment and so little time).

I seen it yesterday. It has a mixer of history in it as well as the vampire story, and I felt that they mixed to two fairly well. It's not the best vampire movie Iv'e seen and not at all scary. But it makes for a good story and kind of makes you wonder if it could have been possible that Abraham Lincoln was a vampire hunter. I saw it in 3D but I don't think it makes for a great 3D movie. What I mean is I don't think seeing it in 3D adds anything to the movie. That's not to say it was a bad movie, but I think 2D would have been just fine for this movie. So I would say that if you're looking for something to do this weekend and want to take in a movie, I would recommend Abraham Lincoln the Vampire Hunter.

Sounds like a rental or wait-for-netflix-to-come-in kind of movie. Thanks for the feedback.

If I were to go to the theatre, I'd probably would see MiBIII, apparently it is really good, or somefin'.

I would have been happy waiting to see it until it popped up on netflix or as a rental. It was alright. MiB3 is well worth the ticket price. I didn't see that in 3d, so I'm not sure if it's worth the extra couple dollars though.

It out-sold The Avengers in the first week and I've been hearing it's super hilarious. I can take or leave the 3D, I get immersed in movies enough to where it doesn't really even matter. I'll have to go see it.

I'm going to see it later this week. I'm curious as to how I'll like it.

I think it has a lot to do with "how into" this sort of thing you are also. For instance Prometheus was a must-see for me due to its sci-fi predigree but if it existed in a vaccume I wou'dnt have liked it as much.

People that are really into vampires and historical fiction are probably going to give it say, an automatic +1 star rating just due to the genre. (Which is fine) just an observation.

My problem is mainly the $$ and partly I just don't do movies by mysself anymore so my options are limited. (would have seen it already if things were different, good or bad reviews). (most everything I see is D/L off the internet, and before that it was from netflix before the $$ really got tight)

Yeah I'd be curious too.

If i don't end up seeing it before you do, although since i haven't seen Avengers (which seems to have universal good reviews) that might take higher priority depending on who/if i go with.
