do you frequent them, or even stop in from time to time?

If you do, what/where are you favorites?

I used to love those old hole in the wall bars for karaoke but now all you hear is people singing country music. I can't handle that.

I prefer bars to clubs because even though there is music there, people can talk over it, and the drinks can be cheaper. On a night before Thanksgiving I went to a bar pretty much where old people were singing country, got buzzed, and got up and sang The Catalyst by Linkin Park which the man running the Karaoke admitted to not knowing. My cousin and I also did a duet of Gin and Juice by Snoop Dogg.

This was at Skip's Pub in Hudson, out in the middle of nowhere, which is currently this entire county. I've walked out of that bar completely wasted, dry heaving every other step, and in love with Fireball.

I have yet to check out the majority of local bars but I plan to go to places like these when I get a laptop and play some Indie music.

I actually don't really know of any in particular, every place that probably WAS this type of bar that I've been to seems to blast the music and have some "Theme" and blasts the music, which isn't what I'd think of as an "old man bar".

In my mind an "old fashion bar" is were basically your there to drink and bullshit with the other customers, or just get blasted out of your mind in a depressed stupor, NOT there for the music, and still be able to talk to the bartender in your normal speaking voice sitting on the bar stool. I'm searching my brain for a bar and the only ones I think (probably) are like this I've not been to. *thinks harder*

There was one that was part bar part bowling alley (were we had DGN bowling at twice) were the "bar" part was this type of bar, but that place is gone now. (i think)

I used to frequent a bar called Charlie's back when I lived in Southwest Detroit. It's run by some family friends of mine. I played a lot of darts there and some pool when I got the chance, it's kind of a small hole in the wall type place.
