Did anyone else hear that the guitarist for Damageplan got shot several times, or has the coffee not kicked in for me yet?

Yes, Dimebag and another member of Damageplan was shot dead on stage last night in Columbus.....Very, very sad........heres the article i got from the Druge Report....

Yeah.. I've not been a huge fan for years,but it's still sad. He was one hell of a guitarist, and did alot for his musical genre. RIP.

I was never a fan, but it really is sad. People get too nuts over change.

I heard it was over a woman, but that is totally based on rumor.

I was in total shock when I found out. My heart goes out to thier families and closest friends. I have been a great fan of his guitar playing for well over 10 years. I met him twice, once at rock of ages and a second time at scanlan music in Taylor where I was fortunate enough to sing for his make shift band. No I'm not bragging but it feels strange knowing that I sang with one of my guitar heroes and now he is gone. :

yeah it is sad. i have never even heard of this band before yesterday- but i do like pantera, so i know of him from that. not that that matters, what matters is that he was killed and so young. :(

Word has it that the shootist killed not only Dimebag but 3-4 other people in the pit before grabbing yet another person before the cops were able to take him down.

It's known at this point that he is ex-military and was dishonorably discharged although what for is not known. People who knew him described him as strange and a loner. He was on medication(s) for mental illness conditions.

That's what I heard about 5am this morning. They may have found out more by now.
