TronRP Posted June 13, 2018 Author Posted June 13, 2018 Deadliest Catch Season 14!!! ย I can't believe I've been watching these fishermen long before they actually started filming the show "Deadliest Catch".ย It was a special that came on the Discovery Channel narrated by Mike Rowe spotlighting the crabbing industry.

Troy Spiral (13) Posted June 20, 2018 Posted June 20, 2018 Littrrally watching robotech episode 1.ย Seems like some creation from an ancient time.ย Rick Hunter just made his first ever appearance in that red acrobatic air plane. So huh... 'Robotech' is actually very well explained right here. I somehow assumed the term was just some random 'sci fi' sounding term with no background.

TronRP Posted June 23, 2018 Author Posted June 23, 2018 "This is AI" by IBM on Science Channel ย I understand the excitement of these engineers, programmers and designers, but I think they should keep the movie "I, Robot" in mind.ย Yes, at this time, we determine the learning curve of these systems, but in the long run, my concern is who will have the final say.ย If an AI determines itself to be correct against a fallible human, then what?ย Even though they are writing failsafes into the current versions, there will be someone who feels removing certain failsafes will "make it more real".ย Once and AI is started, just like the internet, it will be hard to predict the final outcome and near impossible to disable all systems without catastrophic consequences to all technological systems...a.k.a. EM Pulse.
