Converting MP3 file to text?

I know I have a feature available on XP that will read MY speech as text.

But what I really want to do is play an MP3 file I have of a spoken word performance, and have some program convert that to text.

Anyone know of any software that will do this?

port your speaker into your mic

How would I do that? Run a male/male jack from the speaker input to the mic input?

If so, I assume the speaker input is stereo, but the mic input is probably mono, right?
