I just saw her in star wars at the theater looking all of 19.

It's especailly jarring for me since I rarely know who is and isn't alive. But her mom (Debbie Reynolds) my mother is a huge fan of and she is still alive. 

Apparently Willam Shatner was especailly upset. I guess they had a decades long set of running inside jokes between them and that he would miss her a lot.

'I'm deeply saddened to learn of the death of Carrie Fisher. I will miss our banterings. A wonderful talent & light has been extinguished.'

 

 

Mark Hamill has been especailly vocal about his sense of loss.

2016 has been so cruel. So many great actors, actresses and musicians. It's just been a terrible year.
