Draco1958 Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 George Romero passed away today after fighting lung cancer. He was 77. His movie, Night of the Living Dead was the start to a new style of zombie compared to the zombies seen in movies in the 40's and 50's. He actually turned down an offer to direct an episode of The Walking Dead. He said that he felt the show was a soap opera with the occasional zombie in it.
Troy Spiral (13) Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 Lol that quote. TWD is the most realistic zombie suff I can can think of. Sad that hes gone though he was a big pillar in the slightly older horror community.
sekhmet2002 Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 I know I will miss him. At least his work lives on. R.I.P.
