I've been to scary guys like 3 birthday events a year over the years. (It's a good excuse to have a club night , he'll tell you that himself)  It's also a positive feeling. More power to him.  Can't fault him.

I've never had a "real" birthday party ever, not in 42  years (not that this is a "real" birthday party in the traditional sense.)  Birthday's mildly bum me out just due to years and years growing up of every damn idiot kid I knew having one and me not having one. I'm trying to start to participate in others birthdays more in VERY recent times after getting over a lot of the religious based reasons for not having them as a kid.  (Christmas is worse).  But not in modern times so much,  probably 70% over it. 

Glad you guys had a good time regardless.  We take what we can get good time wise.
