Got drunk, had sex, condom broke.

Q: Can you only get a morning after pill at a hospital?

Q: What are my alternatives?

I'm not all for abortion. I just cannot get pregnant right now I had kidney failure not long ago.

You can take several birth control pills, which should have a similar effect to a morning after pill. Make sure to do the reasearch online and/or talk to a nurse first.

God, I feel for you. If you have had kidney failure the sooner you do something the better - could cause you major problems as I'm sure you know. Isn't there someone on here who worked with Planned Parenthood in Detroit?

Nah neither would kill her. I had the unfortunate same thing happen to me when I was 17 so we were looking for alternatives. I'd never suggest anything that would kill. You guys are making me look bad when these are just like welfare options that me and an ex researched I was very young.

Umm... the archaic hanger method can cause a myriad of deadly things, from infection to bleeding to death.

WMP - where do you live? There is a clinic in Dearborn that will sell you the morning after pills for something like $50 or less. It's been 6 years since I visited there, and my memory is sketchy, so it might be much less than that.

They also sell birth control for something like $10 a month. You have to have a pap smear done, and then they'll sell you the pills at a much reduced rate.

I'm gonna post this and go see if I can hunt up the name of the clinic. It's not through planned parenthood.

Also, the thing is, even with the pills you need to get them through a clinic if you possibly can because you've had kidney failure not too long ago. They would need to watch you closely because drug or hormone dosages can be much different when your kidneys aren't filtering up to speed.

O.k - PLEASE disregard the source of the following link. It was the first good list of clinics I found on a google search. It's a "pro life" website, and they're listing these clinics as a means of places to protest. But they're doing a favor to anyone who's looking for a clinic to control a pregnancy. Drag-through list is by state, and they have a ton in Michigan.

You're not dumb at all. It happens. You don't have to go to a hospital; you can get EC from Planned Parenthood (where I happen to work.) To find a clinic close to you go to ppfa.org and put your zip code in the box in the upper right corner, or call 1-800-230-PLAN to be automatically connected to the clinic closest to you.

Where can I get a pregnancy test and/or birth control information?

Wayne County Health Department offers clinics based on sliding scale of income for pregnancy testing. For more information, call the Westland location, 4673133, or the downriver location, 734.727.7000.

Planned Parenthood of Southeast Michigan offers pregnancy testing and birth control based on a sliding scale according to income at various sites. For information, call 961.7370.

ACCESS Center offers pregnancy testing. Office visit is $10 and there is a small fee for the lab test. An appointment is necessary for pregnancy testing. Call 842-0700 for more information/appointment.

The only thing I can think is call your local hospital and as for the nearest womans clinic or health clinic. Ask if they even offer the pill there at the hospital.

I'm an extremely responsible person when it comes to sex. I avoid it at all costs really. I took percaution, an unfortunate event occured. I'm taking responsibility for my actions. Be nice if maybe he did too. Oh well. Boys will be boys. Thats why we have men.

I think this will teach me now to stop playing around with boys younger than me. Or boys all together for that matter.

I think I need another ex gf tattoo. To match the one I currently have...

Being that I refused to take the remainign protion of my BC, I still have 4 pills left IF YOU WANT THEM....It is Allesse-28

Pretty strong stuff, AND it says that you can take them as a Morning after type thing.....

I cannot take them, they make me REALLY emo, depressed, and I kept getting leg cramps (Clots?)
