~~~~~ I am really glad that you got to spend the time.    I'm always amazed at the junk the courts come up with to destroy children's lives for what they consider is the "better option".  I ended up raising the Monchichis (niece and nephew) because CPS and DHS jump to conclusions about if a baby could roll over on it's own or not then lied about incidents in their reports which ended up with us in Juvenile Court and them forcing my mother to adopt her own grandchildren after the court appointed lawyer said "No contest to the charges" effectively ending what had been a long, on going battle to get the kids back to their birth parents.   However, they have both grown up into such beautiful adults and I am very proud of them for making it through everything they were forced to suffer.   But yes, I do digress.   On a different note, if you ever do make it to Detroit, just let me know.  I'm such a homebody hermit that I'm sure I'll still be somewhere in the City and would do my best to pop in and say, "Hello".   Since I do on-call home care provider services, I don't travel out as much as I used to, so most things I do are very local to the actual City of Detroit and very nearby cities. ...just a little FYI.
