There’s gonna be a lot of folks going who either had a falling out years ago (or maybe even recently) or no longer talk… but as long as everyone is respectful (I know I will be), it should be fine.

 

Celebrations like this do tend to bring the best and worst out in people but I think that we all have done a lot of growing up and maturing over the years (or that’s the hope anyways). I know I’ve mellowed out over the years. I’m still passionate about the things I love or believe in but like… time and a place, yanno?

 

I’m also gonna get a “hello my name is” sticker for myself so if people aren’t sure who I am, my DGN name will be visible and they can avoid me if they want. It will help

I know, me too.  Best we can hope for is certain people trying to avoid each other.  I heard a roomer that certain people I no longer talk to plan on going.  I can act like an adu.... avoid them if they can do the same.

I love my baby niece! She just turned one last month and today we was at my mom's BBQ bday thing and everyone always talks loud and intense, over each other, laughing, whatever, anyway, the baby was saying mama, and I'm listening to her and I notice that as everyone is talking and raising their volume she's raising hers, going mama, her intensity was even increasing like she was in the know of how the whole dynamic of our family conversations went. I was like omg you guys listen,  she's trying to get in the conversation! It was adorable and she knew what she was doing because we started laughing and giving her awws and praise and she was all smiling and stuff. She was being sooo cute! I told my brother you have an Aries, she's a ham, be prepared🤣 

He was like what am I? Than we did some zodiac stuff, than my nephew and brother made fun of me while they continued to ask me about their zodiac stuff😭 that "we don't believe in but tell us more" 🤦‍♀️

I mean shit can pop off anywhere, goth crowd or not.. hopefully security is strapped securely. Like you said you don't know who's bringing who. Even if everyone is in complete harmony with one another and knows how to control their drinking and other stuff, things still happen. I am not trying to be negative, just trying to look at it from a different perspective.

As far as being "strapped security" unless they're in the direct employ of the bar or have permission from the owner/manager that is verboten on any property that makes more than 50% of their sales in liquor.

There is this little thing though where if you have a CPL you can open carry in places where concealed carry is restricted.  The problem is no one wants to be the test case for that if it goes to court.

I will have my pepper gel spray on me, which at least I'm allowed to legally carry that (and hopefully I won't ever need that either.)

How badly is it messing up?  I have some spares if you need.  Not great quality but they'll work.  Though they're cheap enough now you can get a nice 4k with a high refresh rate pretty cheap.

 

Other things you can check is if it has an external power supply if that is getting hot/making noise.  Buying a new supply is a lot cheaper than replacing the entire unit.

Also if you have a TV you could always just hook it up to that and get a wireless keyboard/mouse.  Then you can use it as a media center as well.

No worries.  I hooked up 2 monitors in tandem to work as one screen or 2 separate screens depending on the action.  The bottom one is fizzing out.

 

I had bought monitors for the family years ago and they are slowly returning to me.  I have a third one on standby that belonged to my late mother.

 

It's interesting how time brings about such changes.
