What you really need to do is have a spare car key in your wallet, and a hide-a-key in a inconspicuous place or leave one with a neighbor you trust.

If you're ever locked out of your car you can easily get in, and the same goes for your home.

I just found out that CDPR was going to spin out my GOG account into one on their site.  Opted out of that pretty fucking quickly.  If I need less of anything it's people having my account info.

But they did it mostly right, they asked and offered an option to opt out.  Would have been better had it been opt-in instead though.

$HOOD did better than anticipated. Not selling my position yet, but now $SOFI is on my radar. Vanguard just bought a huge position in them. What do they know that I don't, how long of a wait do I have to partake if I do enter a position, I wonder. Time to do some research.

I've got all fonts and styles overridden.  It's not just here though it's everywhere online.

 

Webfonts can be used to track you as well, so that's even more reason for me to keep them off.

I mean it's less about you and more about all the other users on the forum that runs on a server you don't own.  Even if you did own it then the trust vector is reduced to people willing to trust you and the software you'd allow to run on it.

Not that all of this isn't also being indexed by every search engine that exists along with whatever TLAs and corporations that want the data, but I feel that every little bit helps.

Though there is an argument that making yourself more obscure exposes you more and that it's better to just blend in with the crowd of mindless automatons using Windows 10/11, Chrome, and the default settings for both.
