I absolutely hate having to jump to multiple hoops just to make some payment. Apparently I need two different accounts to make a payment to kohl's. How? And why? I don't know wtf im doing

That sounds like one of them might be some weird phishing attempt.  I'd just go in person and throw money at them or have them help me through it.

I don't trust most large corporations for a reason.  Others I interact with as little as possible.  There are very few I'd actually recommend to anyone without any caveats.

I mean that also sounds like bullshit, but "company policy" I guess right?  Customer retention sucks unless they give you free things, and even then it usually isn't worth it.

But having your name, phone, and other info should trump having that card.  Shame on them for making it difficult.  It's not like they need the card back anyway after it's been deactivated.

I'm ready to flip the table. Im dying of heat in this dam oven we call work. It's an actual sweatshop in the summer

And gotta deal with poison ivy for a couple weeks. Hopefully. Woke at 2am with a swollen eye, but could still see and get to the ER. I'm fine; got meds/steroids to deal with the swelling for a week.

I feel like most of my flesh is made out of acid that's been lit on fire, some kind of stress triggered system wide infection response idk.  For 2 days now, every knick, cut, gash, gouge, bruise, slash, slice and splinter that I got immediately transforms into a flesh rotting trash fire... And I get ruthless at demolition work so my exterior right now is like 25% human and 75% injuries inflicted over top of other injuries lol.

Generally buildings overheat because of bad insulation allowing the hot air in/out.    Depending on how it's set up maybe some large cooling fans/misters might help?  Water breaks should also be mandatory if it's that hot.  If they bitch just threaten DOL and OSHA on them.  They may retaliate but then that doesn't sound like a place you really want to work at anyway.  Workers are not slaves/robots and those that put up with it only keep the bullshit going.  Also complain to the union if you have one (and if not, form one!.)

My coworker who is dating the building manager said that the AC in the building is ancient and they've been sinking more money into repairing it over actually putting in a new one

As one who used to be in charge of Building Maintenance and Operations, they would come out better replacing it.  Before they know it, depending on the contactor, they will end up having poured more money into repairs when they could have worked out a finance deal with a company and gotten something better - either refurbished or new.

Southfield is fun.  The other businesses in our building on our floor would act like babies because the space rent would have to go up. Idk how this building is functional.

Better now that I got the swelling down in my eye. I lost a fight with some poison ivy. Eye sight wasn't effected.

And ready for bed. Did the day on five and a half hours of sleep.

Thanks. I was pulling plants/leaves the other day and apparently I pulled some poison ivy. I have pictures for a timeline.

Oh my goodness, I feel like I zoned out for about 90 minutes.

I was reading posts, deleting junk mail, doing Duolingo and watching a documentary.  Somewhere, I lost track of time and now it's tomorrow.

If the landlord is more of a slumlord, well this is fun https://logicalpm.com/how-to-use-michigans-repair-and-deduct-policy/

With the current inflation it's probably going up anyway though.  Maybe their side is working okay too so they don't care if you suffer?  Also portable A/C and window units can work great too.  That might even be what the other tenant is doing because the increased cost of electric in that may be less than the cost of a rental increase (though that seems unlikely to me unless electric is somehow included in their rent?)

I don't know how the rent is, I'm just one of the workers in my store. Our store is located in the dead center of the building so we have no windows for us whatsoever, and the power goes out on some outlets sometimes because we have so many AC units running. So much fun

Oof.  One story or multiple?  If you're on the top floor maybe you could put in something there?

Wouldn't want workers quitting under unbearable working conditions.

The 3rd of 5 floors. I run out to my car and blast the ac on breaks. It doesn't help I wear all black 247
