Minus loading pallets to a trailer, this is called a Wednesday. 

Helped with that yesterday with my mom. She and a family friend works with a heating/cooling company out this way, and they clear out the pallets from their lot.

Chilling for a short minute after being sent home early (it was a quiet day even with a break); waiting for a friend's plane to arrive (and waiting what seemed like a stupid long time for luggage), drive around for her to grab a few things from Meijer/restaurant, then home. From the restaurant to where she's staying:

 

ALL RAIN AND FLOODING. 

 

I had to detour around a few deep spots and one spot I had to drive through (not serious at the time). That was fun. With luck the drive to work won't be as bad in the morning.

I hope not.  Back in 1995, there were very few females in my field, so whenever I went on a job call, I was either haggled down of a project cost or paid with a meal...sometimes with can goods.

I hope not either. My current place likes me too much. And I wanna believe that I've made myself too indispensable to fire. Or be glad to see quit. Of the five that signed on to be utility/dishwashers, I'm the only one left. One was fired/quit before the construction wall came down. One walked (quit) quoting "too many people in the kitchen". One left us for another airport job. And the last quit stating over group text that he "found a better job". So, I'm OG; along with the few that are still there after the orientation way back in April.

Finally getting back online after the DTE "power outage" we suffered from 1am this morning until 4pm this afternoon.  They got the power back on just in time for a rainstorm. 😑

Cooling off after doing some yard work. Mowed the back (was going to yesterday, but too hot), and started working on the edging with a shovel. All the grass I get from said edging is being cycled back into the yard by the road where we've parked before in the hope of it all taking root.

Feeling bad that I had completely forgotten that I had a wedding shower to attend, but picked up hours at work. For as good as my memory is, I guess between work, GISH, and volunteering at an event, something was bound to be forgotten.
