Rise of Skywalker

This is a feeler (not that type of feeler) thread to see who wants to go see Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker. So, basically:

 

1. What time/day everyone's available to see it?

2. What theatre everyone can get to? (I prefer Emagine, but ... *shrug*)

3. Who might need rides to whatever theatre we're going to.

1. Christmas day?  Friday the 20th or Sunday the 22nd maybe?
2. Long drive for me any which way, PLUS I have no idea where it's playing.  So... whatever?
3. I'm in the Roseville area.  Anyone nearby is welcome to join me.

@Stu  Hey... no.     This is you , going with us brother.  Not us going with you.  Ha.

1. Mon and Wed I'm free all day (two days off work), and Sat and Sun I close (I get out around 9pm). Other days will be after 6pm (I get off work at 5pm).

 

2. It's a major movie, it's gonna be playing everywhere.

The largest theater in michigan  (Super Emax Novi) already sold out of the best time slot (7-8 friday)  grrr.

We can try 1. Royal Oak at 3pm Monday the 23rd or 2. the Canton location, same time, but only if we get tickets now. Or change the time.

The trick is to just pick a date and time and then everyone can work around it.

  No matter what we pick someone will have an issue with it.   The hard part comes after that.... actually getting people to commit to going.

 

Friday is probably the best day since:

1.  It's not saturday -  The more hardcore people don't want to wait until saturday. 

2.  Thursday?  Uh... no.  For obvious reasons haha. 

 

Some other date not on NOT OPENING WEEKEND?  I can't speak to you heathens. 

 

 

Emax or Imax required.    I'd just wait until it came out for home viewing if I didn't want the full theater experience.

Nobody is available during traditional work hours hardly.  Needs to be after traditional work hours.

Either location, if on a Friday, will be pushing 6-630 for me due to work/traffic. Hence when I offered Canton (I still curse the damn shuttle we have to take at work) as a secondary location.

This is "House Spiral Movie Night 2"  -  Every time a new theatrical SW release comes out =  House Spiral Movie Night... Yes there will be cards.

Earliest I can get to Canton (providing I take a change of clothes and change at work) is roughly 6pm if i "race" from work to Canton. 630 would be the latest for Royal Oak.
