Weird browser problem

Having a weird problem, just on my laptop.

When I'm on DGN, if I mark a forum read, it doesn't "take". The forum still shows new, and sometimes, if I had gone into a thread and made a response, I still don't show has having made the last post.

Sometimes, the browser will keep reverting to a single thread as well.

I'm using AOL 9.0.

Any clue what might be going on?

You're using AOL, that about says it all...

I think AOL uses the IE browser as a core, but they're actually comming out with one based around netscape (or gecko I guess) which is actually a good move by a company I wish to burn in hell for all eterity.

Try getting the latest browser beta from them at www.betanews.com or just download Firefox and be done with it.

I agree with Scary Guy on this, but also try deleting your browser's cookies -- I've had similar issues on other boards and that's actually helped.

Also, speaking as a FireFox user, FireFox isn't without its problems. Just last night, my browser profile somehow got corrupt and for, like, three hours, all of my bookmarks were gone and I could NOT, for the life of me, after reading their directions on the site on how to fix that, I could NOT make it work. Then, suddenly, it worked again and I have no idea what happened.

On the good side, I haven't had to delete a single piece of spy-ware or freak out when the automated every-other-daily virus scan catches something in the month-and-a-half I've had it installed, BUT, looking at this objectively, I also downloaded the Adblock and NoScript browser extensions, so I'm hesitant to say that it's JUST FireFox by itself that's so great.

I like FireFox, it's a neat browser and it takes care of a lot of the Explorer related problems that I had been having -- but it's also not without its issues.
