Scary Guy Posted July 14, 2021 Posted July 14, 2021 (edited) They do it in hopes that you buy other things while you're in there getting one. It usually works too. Marketing is evil, it's no wonder I'm so good at it 😛 Also if 7/11 was in the winter time it'd probably be a free coffee. Edited July 14, 2021 by Scary Guy

You would have thought someone was giving away hundred dollar bills. At that particular location in Oak Park, I was the only one, out of what looked like 75 people swarming the building, who purchased more than a hot dog and a bag of chips. In my opinion, it was more like they had a publicity stunt in certain areas, to get rid of inventory before it went bad. If you got a free Slurpee, you could purchase a Beef hotdog for $1. They know that in certain areas, no one will question cheep food, so you pawn it off on the public. I checked each hotdog the lady grabbed to make sure it was fresh enough to eat...lol. 😆 Edited July 14, 2021 by TronRP Wrong City - Oak Park not Royal Oak
Scary Guy Posted July 14, 2021 Posted July 14, 2021 Well it's also free advertising AND possibly good optics by giving things away. It's a complete win for the company! Also this:
Class-Punk Posted August 10, 2021 Posted August 10, 2021 I won't go to my local 7-Eleven because of too many shady customers. That place is darker than a goth club. If Baudelaire was alive he could write poetry about it.
