Things could get ugly.

This is the 3rd time this month I believe they said.

I mean serioulsy, what is going on?

Its freakin London for christs sakes! There are mentions of biological warfare beginning, I know some of it may just be rumors but we are close to this now.

These people aren't stupid. One blow to our financial standpoint and look what happened to the U.S. What are other countries going to do? I think we are about to see some very dark times.

Actually I think we are about to see just how far a government is willing to go to keep the sheeps skin over our eyes.

We'll see like a suitcase nuke or dirty bomb or something like that In London or New York within the next decade, for sure.

not only that, the department i worked at had a suspect poackage this week.

i only found out as i pass the are of building it had been moved to in order to go to my car.

todays bombs lukily were amatuerish, as the main charges did not go off, just the detonators. we were very lucky today

Yes.... but the warning indicater is a lovely shade of orange. Isn't that a lovely shade? And so so helpful.

:doh :doh :doh :doh :doh :doh :doh :doh :doh :doh :doh :doh

Yes, the war on terrorism is working and the orange is a great indication of that, obviously...

yup I see the beginning of the end.....

Rumors of wars

nation against nation

I'm scared. :erm :fear :fear

Two hijacked planes smash into major landmarks in downtown New York, another is slammed into a field while the passangers try to get control from the hijackers, a truck load of high explosives are stopped at the Canadian border on thier way to explode in the 2002 New Years Celebration in Portland.... all of that here in the country and it takes a few small bombs going off across the Atlantic to make you realize that people want you dead and that shit is really bad out there?

Why the hell is London anymore damn important than anywhere else? People are dieing all over the damn world and have been since the early 70's when terrorism was first used. The state of the world isn;t new, it's been like this for a long time.

Here is a quote from a Dept of Homeland Security brochure, I'd read a couple years ago. The pamphlet was written for the general education of the average American citizen and the section of the booklet I will quote from, was entitled "What to do in the event of a nuclear attack"

"If you see a large fireball, the first things to consider are distance, shielding and time."

There, that ought to ease your anxiety.

Well, it's as simple as that: Distance, shielding and time!! -As long as you can remember those three things...

Die from a bombing or die from a car accident, you're still dead.

People bitch about the alert status... Do you have a better idea of how to let people know that there is or isn't a crediable threat?

Posted

Yeah. Get rid of the fucking thing. The next time I see on the news that another couple of skyscrapers got exploded, I'll know that there's a credible threat. The alert status indicator simply does not help at all. If it's not helping at all, then there is no point to it being there, and it should go away.

When its my time, its my time. Until then, I'm enjoying life.

Far more likely to die in a car accident or any other of the likely ways to go, than via a terrorist attack, at least as far as the actual statistics for US residents.

The "fear factor" rises and falls based on perception rather than actual , statistical likelihood in many cases. The bigger the story the bigger the fear factor.

I'm not scared yet. I wonder when I will be.....

not afraid.

Whatever happens, happens. I worried myself as I watched 9-11 happen live on tv. This was the same week my family was suppose to return from California by plane. So stress was at an all time high. After this my already cynical mood became worse. Fuck the world, fuck people and their gods and their evil ideology. A nuclear war could erupt and I could care less. At this point and time I would welcome it. If this is what it takes for humans to wake up from their self absorbed ways than so be it.

Is this me talking or my depression? Yes I'm at a morbidly depressed mood today. Such is life than you die.

Let me just say. I am not afraid. I was pretty fucked up after 9/11, I will admit. I came to grips with my fear and wont let it rule me anymore. That does not mean I am going to turn a blind eye either. If the government says that there is crediable evidence that terrorists are planning on driving tanker trunks into schools and blowing htem up.. and I see a guy aiming a truck at a school and driving fast.. I'm going to do what I can to stop him. If I die stopping them, well, I die. If I was wrong, I will never know.

OH MY! OH MY!! Quick hide Armageddon is on the horizon. Just like the said about Y2K. Just like then said during the Reagan era (before the Berlin wall came down) just like they said when Kennedy was assassinated.

Not making fun of peoples plight. How ever the dooms dayers need to understand that "somebody thought that a there was going to be another world war" before they where alive and the likelihood is that it wont happen until after they die.

If I'm wrong and it does happen in our life time, Oh well I wont be running around saying "SEE I TOLD YOU I WAS RIGHT" and getting myself shot.

NO FEAR.

Or make it so they stop multiplying by changing the playing field... I believe that for every one we kill makes 3 more... Kinda like that Samale monster from Hellboy.

Lets just kill them all and let their god figure it out.............you know if they want to die for thier cause lets ablige them....fuck'em.....until we all get together and work together black white arab jew or any other race this is just going to continue ....until we realize its not just our nation but our world and act as such it won't change :confused

9-11 made me laugh.

Our country freaked out, acting like they thought this could never happen to them. I'm sorry for the tragedy but look how the other nations rushed to our aide. We were aware the attack was coming. We did nothing to prevent it. Notice you don't hear about how the pentagon got hit, nope just the twin towers. Heaven forbid we remind anyone how the center of our nations existance almost got taken out.

Scotland Yard knew these attacks were coming as well. You have to stop and wonder why these governments arent doing anything to prevent the attacks. I'm sure they get false alarms all the time but geez.

Guess 4 suspects have been apprehended. Caught on video tape. Go figure.

Knowing an attack is coming and knowing enough details to stop it are completly different things.

I'm thinking I'm going to be moving to AZ, soon! Can't wait! I friggin' love it here! The heat doesn't bother me at all and the best part? NO SNOW!!! (S.N.O.W. - Shit  No One Wants)   Been staying in Bullhead City where the kids and grandkids live. Next, we're going to the wife's cousin's which is a ways North of Kingman, in the middle of nowhere, where we actually plan to move.   I really like Bullhead. It's a nice little town. Not overcrowded like Colorado Springs has become, at all. Very light traffic, reasonable prices on everything, low taxes, etc. The river offers a lot to do, with a lot of beaches and campgrounds all around it.   But yeah even though we've been over 110º-115º F just about every day,  I can handle it!  What I can't handle anymore, is snow and being cold. Just tired of it. Give me the desert over a blizzard any day!

Nope, we wasn't doing anything. I didn't want to go by myself.  I ended up doing karaoke here. It would of been a perfect day to go, though.
