FarrIL Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 Alright, I've noticed this during the winter months and it's been happening again, at least for the past two or three days. Let's say you go out for a late-night walk and break out into a run. A normal sprint, not gonna run the length of the block. Well, you slow down and go back to walking..... ...BAM!! Consciousness of a nausea-causing, weak-making, rather uncomfortable belly cramp. NOT a stitch in your rib, but a nasty cramp. Sure, it feels like the cramp I get when I get a heavy period but.... it's not my monthly yet. Sure, it's coming up but hasnt started yet. This cramp or belly pain is enough to almost make me double over in discomfort because it hurts that bad. And for some reason it doesnt go away until I am at home, sitting down and relaxing. I cant walk off this cramp because it hurts that bad. So, I dont know what it is, why it is, etc..... .... All I know is that it hits me, regardless of an upcoming Shark Week or not. Any ideas, folks?
honeymustard02 Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 How long has this been going on? I would see a doctor if you're worried about it.
Homicidalheathen Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 Colitis and Divers make you cramp but not just when you run although stress will induce it....no idea.
kellygrrrrrl Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 I get those when I run. WHEN I run. I associate it with my being out of shape. Do you run often? Even if it is a slow jog this can happen. Happens to me, BUT I am by far not a doctor.
torn asunder Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 patient: doctor, it hurts when i do this... (does something) dcotor: don't do that!!

I think it started around the time I stopped going to Tae Kwon Do as often, due to school. But I'm just curious at to what it is exactly that's wrong.
The Void Posted August 18, 2005 Posted August 18, 2005 It just means you can't get enough oxygen. Use the old highschool gym class trick and put your hands behind your head, arms up and breathe in deeply, walk slowly, don't stop walking.

SomeDanGuy Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 Is it only on one particular side? If so, which? Does it hurt any other time? If you push on that area? If it only happens when running, then I'd say it is related to that. Maybe some sort of super-muscle-cramp, I don't know.
Msterbeau Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 <-----Has plenty of smart-ass answers for you, but nothing really useful. :fear :whistling
Nienna Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 My endometreosis causes cramps like that randomly. It suuuucks.... If it keeps up or becomes more common, go get an ultrasound.
