Ginevra Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 After looking up the definition for tasso, I'd recommend going to either Hillers or perhaps even Whole Foods and seeing if they have it. Otherwise, I'd check ethnic places such as Hispanic markets or even Arabic. A butcher might also be able to point you in the right direction.
gothicmom Posted August 19, 2005 Author Posted August 19, 2005 I believe I've seen a Whole Foods around here. The Ethnic places scare me! *giggles* I figured since there are so many people here that like to cook, someone might know.
holliwood66 Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 Sparrow Meats in Ann Arbor Kerrytown has Tasso, Andoullie and all kinds of other yummy cajun goodies. One of the butchers is from Louisiana and stocks the real stuff. Hiller's has it once in a while, as do most store-front butchers (Eastern Market.)
gothicmom Posted August 22, 2005 Author Posted August 22, 2005 Sadly, I live far away from Ann Arbor :(
