gothicmom Posted August 19, 2005 Posted August 19, 2005 I don't know anything about what type of connection we had but I do remember my first surfing session. We were in the computer lab at the private university Bishop was attending at the time. We were all over Dark Side of the Net . We looked at Clive Barker, the bong Depeche Mode site and tons of pictures. I think we were looking around for about and hour then the connection went poo-poo from downloading so many picture files!

pomba gira Posted August 20, 2005 Posted August 20, 2005 ... that's 'cos we's ole folks up in here! Hm, 1996 or '97, the standard 14k dialup thru my Wayne State student account. Spent a lot ov time on Cafe los Negros, Riot Grrl, & Bust boards back then. Actually got my first 'puter in '95, (w/lawsuit $$ from when I got hit by a Spartan Cab van going 50 mph in a 25 zone) but promptly pawned it & didn't get it out for almost a year. Doing that again quickly became unimaginable!
