Paper Hearts Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 Oils are very sophisticated compared to acrylic-they are not forgiving in the least and take a bit long to dry-really give you a respect for Van Gogh's 1 day paintings, with globs of paint extending nearly a half inch from the canvas in some areas, was the first thought I had, the first time I used them. They are a bit expensive, too unless you buy raw pigments and oil and make them yourself.
