I am totally in love with Diary of Dreams, and Project Pitchfork was amazing throughout most of the 90's and the early 2000's. Too bad Pitchfork "postponed" their US tour indefinitely. They were supposed to bring DoD with them, and they did have a Detroit date scheduled before the "postponement". As far as recommendations... Check out the following: - [:SITD:] - Coded Message: 12 (Metropolis Records) -- EBM/elektro - Psyclon Nine - INRI (Metropolis Records) -- harsh elektro/terror EBM - Heimataerde - Gotteskrieger (Metropolis Records) -- terror EBM with some medieval hints - XP8 - Forgiven (Remastered Re-Release) (Static Sky Records) -- EBM/synthpop - Eisbrecher - (self-titled) (Dancing Ferret Records) -- elektro-metal/industrial - Sero.Overdose - No Time for Silence (Alfa-Matrix Records) -- synthpop/EBM - Virtual Embrace - Hellektro (Alfa-Matrix Records) -- terror EBM through and through - Culture Kultür - Reborn (Out of Line Records) -- synthy EBM in the vein of Apoptygma Berzerk and Covenant And, if you don't already have these: - Blutengel - Angel Dust (Out of Line Records) -- darkwave/synth-Goth - Umbra et Imago - Memento Mori (Spirit Productions) -- Goth-metal with a fetish undertone - Unheilig - Zelluloid (Four Rock Entertainment) -- sounds like Rammstein meets VNV Nation Hope that helps!
Daevion Posted August 22, 2005 Author Posted August 22, 2005 I'll check those out!!....and yes that does help

Bile and if you like them there are many to choose from <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've got some of thier mp3's already.....they are ok...but alittle too death metalish for my taste.... I do like: some death-like vocals Theatre of Tragedy My Dying Bride Paralysed Age (not really deathish vocals)

phee Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 Well if you like extremely erie electronic ambient, I would recomend "Blood Machine" by Steve Roach... it will take you very far out of your head...
Daevion Posted September 26, 2005 Author Posted September 26, 2005 does is sound anything like Slow dive?
phee Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 does is sound anything like Slow dive? Not at all... no lyrics, just soundscapes, tribal precussion, and well washes of synth. He actually started long ago, and he is one of my favorites

MarsDustDoug Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 I got it here: http://music.download.com/steveroach/3600-...ing_song_artistI found some other links from his website that have samples but not entire tracks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> if you are diggin on Steve Roach check out Horchata, Skalpell, and Lolpix. Love the dark ambient/illbient stuff. Might want to check out some IDM to like Kid606 or Cex though im sure you might have it already but Assemblage 23 "storm" is a great synthpop album. though he is usually Intelligent Drum n Bass, Darkhalo has written some absolutely sick tracks if you are looking to stick with dance-able but still dark. go here http://ftp.sunet.se/pub/demos/scene.org/mu...tists/darkhalo/ and downlaod "clockwork dawn/day/night" its a three track series. Succubus is a great track too. -Doug
soothsayer Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 You should check out Mog stunt team - cool stuff.
DarkenedCharm Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 Daevion, A couple for you if you haven't heard them yet... Dissecting Table - Noisy Ambient / Industrial with Metal elements Hellsau - Good trippy Industrial Hanzel Und Gretyl - Think Rammstein with female vocals and more nihilism Glenn Danzig's Black Aria - This one is old, but it is great. Very movie soundtrack-oriented
