Should I Get My Septum Pierced?

I had my septum pierced when I was in high school and I really liked it. I'm thinking about getting it done again, since I can easily hide it for work (just flip the ring up my nose), but I remember it hurting like hell (but then again I like pain). Should I do it?

How in the bleeding hell do people blow their noses when there's a ring through thier septum??? How??? This baffles me beyond belief. Doesn't it hurt when you sneeze?I have allergy problem from Oct-Apr and I could not imagine how much I would have to clean that damned ring. Pierce something that doesn't expel mucus. :doh

I just imagine snot shooting out from a nose ring (side, not middle like you want).

Personally I'd go for the eyeglass mod where they drill through the bone and that holds on your glasses, no arms.

It's really not that hard to blow your nose with a septum ring, you just do it in private and make sure you clean up well. As far as allergies go, I have them too, and the solution would be to NOT get it peirced during allergy/cold season.

I don't wear glasses so that would be pointless, and it goes against the whole "being able to hide it for work" thing. I've had my left nostril pierced for 11 years, though I don't wear it too much anymore. When I was younger people always asked me if snot shot out of it when I blew my nose...no, it does not!

Anyway, I'm more than likely getting it done Saturday. The more I think about it, the more I want it done again. I really liked having it before, plus it's something not too many people have! :devil

I've always been kind of "anti" when it comes to septum piercings on most people. I'd have to see a face shot of you to really decide within a proper frame of reference. However, the way I generally feel about it is that a small ring is usually best. I dunno. I say no, but I just don't know your nose well enough.

Yep yep, I got it done on Friday and it didn't hurt a bit, though it is a tiny bit sore now. I've gotten hit on so much more these past two days than I normally get in a month...it's nuts. Who would've though a septum ring would do that? :woot:

Um I still use film (shut up..just shut up!), and I don't have money to get it developed right now, and then I have to go through the process of picking a picutre that isn't horrid...so sometime this century I'll get a pick up, hehe.
