Paper Hearts Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 This weekend I got a used bicycle. It is like something the guys from Kraftwerk may have ridden, or perhaps Sid Viscious, yes. It's called "the Executive" and it was made in Austria. The seat however is English while the cargo rack is Swiss, the finest bike cocktail, available. The rack is really fucking good, it held three full grocery bags, firm over a several miles ride, no worries. This bike, I feel is amazing. It's sort of the Amsterdam rent-a-bike kind of thing, all black with rusty chrome accents and two red chevrons on the fork. It's like a 1940's, 3 speed thing. My buddy Ian traded it to me for "non tangible goods to be later discovered".
Paper Hearts Posted August 23, 2005 Author Posted August 23, 2005 I want to ride it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I could draw another one with you on it...
Brenda Starrr Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 lol..... I would use it as my computer wallpaper
Paper Hearts Posted August 23, 2005 Author Posted August 23, 2005 lol..... I would use it as my computer wallpaper <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well then-allow me to make amends. This shall require a few moments-
LuluVox Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Dang, I need a Swiss rack for my 1977 Raleigh 3-speed (of doom). It's great for riding around aimlessly, but with no rack, I can never hope to do things like trek to the grocery store with it.

This Swiss rack is so strong though-I didn't think that I'd ever be allowed such an amazing thing. I'm so happy. Do you want me to draw you in the picture, too?
Brenda Starrr Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 HA!!! I love your hair! I might even have it the next time you see me!!

There's a bike shop about 12 paces from my front door, but they don't seem to have anything that good. Viva la Honda Civics! Mine is awesome on gas, but you're right, there's no need to waste it. And oh yes, please add me in. HA!!! I love your hair! I might even have it the next time you see me!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ah! And I might have different hair, myself. I think once your hairstyle makes it into Gothic Beauty, it's time to move on...
Brenda Starrr Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 lol So true! I know I have to get it cut. I haven't had it trimmed since June. I don't even know what I'm doing with it. That's a whole 'nother thread!!

I'm not sure that finding another rack like it would be easy-oh, but I could be wrong. I'd try a few more bike shops, preferably one that sells used bikes, as well as new. Or maybe thrift stores. I'll keep my eyes open for one for you, too. High five on the Civic. (drawing soon to follow)
LuluVox Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 excellent, thank you. i'm going home, so you have plenty of time to work on your drawing. let's see, i can give you some possible props... red bike, much like yours black bobtailed cat (named Camilla, for your records)
