I received in the mail today my first set of Dr. Who DVDs! It's the "key to time" box set, six whole dvd's, about twenty four episodes worth. Tom Baker is AWESOME!!! :cool

Of course, now this means I'll have to start collecting all the other dvd's.... which means too much money, and too much time... but there are nine Doctors, so I have a lot of work ahead of me. I don't think I'll be getting any of the new stuff though. The ninth doctor, modern guy, doesn't look as interesting as the old stuff from the seventies and eighties. Then again, I haven't actually seen any of it. I could be pleasantly surprised once I check out the movie.

Hmm... not that any of you are probably familiar with Dr. Who.

check it out

I've heard that the format of the new Doctor Who stories has been changed-no more cliff hanger ending, that kind of thing, but that none the less, it is very good.

For a while, my favorite Doctor Who was Tom Baker, as well, just like everyone else, but I've become a bit refined through the years-now I'm very much into Jon Pertwee.

Although, my favorite Doctor Who related stories included no Doctor Who, what so ever, K-9 and Company. I can't wait until they put some episodes of that on DVD.

I always thought Gene Wilder would make an excellent Dr who at least when he was younger.

we had tom baker. for the gene wilder thing.

the odd thing about tom baker he wasnt really acting. he was more or less being himself.

yes, life-long Dr. Who fan I am =)

I will ahve to get a set of the DVD's. I catch the new Who ever so often on BBC digital - is quite good!

Had thoughts once, of naming a band 'Rapid Burst of Pertwee'.

Well, it's because he's so fast! Have you ever seen Jon Pertwee run? -I know he doesn't look it, but he must have been a track star. I can remember being so surprised to see him dash across the screen, it was like watching a laser! -Just this rapid burst of Pertwee!

I drool for Doctor Who.

I drool more for the Key to Time box set.

If anyone wants to REALLY get on my good side, they can buy me that.

In other news, I acquired the entire new season of Doctor Who. Even though Christopher Eccleston seems an arrogant git for leaving after only one season, he did a really good job. I'm curious to see where they go with the new story elements they've added.

Well this is cool. :) Who knew there were so many Dr. Who fans here? Usually I get blank stares when I mention the show.

Wish I lived closer to Detroit. It'd be fun to get together and have a marathon one weekend.
