Did you star in the stage production of Rambo? What roles did you get? I'm interested to know- lol

In highschool I played:

Talthybias, from the play "The Trojan Women" (basically the soldier in charge of sending slave women to their masters)

Howie, from the play "Our Town" (The Milkman!!!)

Festis, from the play "Twelfth Night" by Shakespear ( The Clown go figure)

Several sketch's that I wrote for the club "Lunchbox Theater" which I was president of.

After that I just started doing music for plays after that

Ultra band geek - third trumpet and then moved up to second trumpet, won a trophy in competition, played a solo at halftime a couple times - damn I miss band! I got made fun of a lot my freshman year since I was geeky and awkward. Funny - my sophomore year my boobs grew and I got really good in music, started winning competitions and built up my confidence and I ended up more popular than the puffed-up princesses who had made fun of me.

and we were #2 in the state and won a trip to Disney World my senior year, performed in the parade. God that was fun. We saw the underground structures beneath Disney - was amazing.

I was in:

Choir

Concert band

Jazz band

Marching band

Pep band

Thinking back, being interested in band and being successful at that one thing was really the only thing that kept me in school. It was an amazing feeling being part of a team and hearing the end product of the music.

I miss that.

I went to an alternative highschool due to extreme bordom in regular Ann Arbor high school. I was on the debate team, Yearbook and the CS jazz band Freshman and Sophmore years.

After that I changed all my classes so I only had to go to class once a week (independent studies...lol.)

Drama Club

Who knew?

Yeah. Forensics. I don't really know why they called it that.

I was in Solo Acting, Serious.

That is the reason I now hate Lady Macbeth.

Thats cool. I had my kids in it....they were afraid of the beams and poles. I can still do a cartwheel and backbend somwhat myself.....not bad at 40. I want someone to teach me to do handsprings...and I do yoga....will you teach me?

Oh mommy, teach me! Teach me! I really do want to learn how to do a handspring before I die.

High School, just AFJROTC. Colourguard and Exhibition and Standard Drill Teams. I led all three.

I was a cheerleader in elementary school, played basketball in elementary and Jr. High, and took dance, gymnastics, and skating (both ice and dance roller skating) lessons for the better part of 15 years or so. ...I can actually FIGURE SKATE on rollerblades (I have special skates - rollerblades - with FRONT brakes . It's cool as hell!

At 26, and four kids later, I can still do just about everything I was ever taught. I wsa teaching my daughters how to do cartwheels and handsprings the other day.  :grin

I did a lot of the "jock thing" back in my HS days:

Tennis (Qualified for states)

Track (Qualified for states)

Cross Country (barfed after missing out on qualifying for states by 11 seconds)

Yearbook ( I took 95% of the candid shots in each yearbook, go figure...)

Student Newspaper (I won Quill & Scroll Awards, bitches!)

And despite all that testosterone, I was a nerd like no other

Science Olympiad (I could hit a teacup with a ball bearing 50 ft away with a mini-catapult)

Science Club

NHS

SADD

Habitat for Humanity

:innocent

Like football, wanted to play football in HS but an over protective mother said no. "Might get hurt" playing a game like that. So I guess being a high on is better than being a jock. :doh

If I didn't know any better, I'd swear this was the intro to my biography. Minus the boobs growing sophomore year and being in choir. Oh, wait, nevermind. That's when I went through my weight gain. Man-boobies!

I've wrote for a local music paper "Jam Rag" since 1987 but it sadly ended three years ago, the paper turned different directions to say the least. I still miss it though, I've interviewed some really cool bands and people. :nut
