EvilEve Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 the stormy-rainy kind... only kind to put me to sleep how long is too long for you to go w/o something?
Confess Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 As long as it takes for me to get annoyed. Which is kind of fast. I'm an instant gratification kind of guy. Again. What would you do for a Klondike bar?
EvilEve Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 anything but THAT!!!! *leaving it up to the imagination* what would you do to have your toes not broken?
Simon Bar Sinister Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 (edited) break the other guy's toes first did you really mean it the last time you thanked somebody? Edited September 16, 2009 by SpammerOvTheGods
StormKnight (1) Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Yes. What do you think you need vindication for?
Simon Bar Sinister Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 (edited) if there is anything, it's not coming to mind. good question, though. do you work well as part of a team? Edited September 17, 2009 by SpammerOvTheGods
EvilEve Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 depending on who's on the team, do i know them, do i care to know them, did they sleep with someone i know... etc. how do you cure stupidity?
taysteewonderbunny Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 Imagination and curiosity are your best weapons. If you could be any of the Greek Pantheon, who would you rather?
creatureofthenyte Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 None, I'd rather be King Leunitis of Sparta; "Spartans! Prepare for Glory!!!" Ahhwoo! Ahhwoo! Ahhwoo! What was the topic again ?
Simon Bar Sinister Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 asking a question for someone else to answer. what would it take for you to discard your current philosophy?
prick Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 A major change in human nature. What is your favorite sport?
Simon Bar Sinister Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 basketball!!! are there people out there praying for you?
StormKnight (1) Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Praying, chanting, and blessing in several different denominations. What do you want and why?
pomba gira Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Definitely. Ever been to a traditional wedding or funeral of a culture other than your own?
taysteewonderbunny Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 Simultaneous posts get coetaneous answers. 1) I want a lot. I'd like to live in a small university town, a liberal university with a diverse student population, in the mountains, preferably the Blue Mountains, in a cooperative building with six individual flats and restaurant/retail (preferably cooperative-run coffee house or microbrewery) / performance space / gallery on the first one or two floors. I want my closest friends and family to occupy the other five flats. I want a husband (I have him picked out--let's just hope that I don't scare him away, shall we?) and a wife or girlfriend, two kids, some goats, two cats, one big dog, and a huge garden--either a rooftop garden, wall garden, or garden in an adjacent vacant lot. I want to spend my days cleaning up messes (I think I'll get my wish), doing some kind of professional or technical writing (mostly from home), and gardening. Why? Because I'm largely introverted, but like a bit of chaos and I love people watching. I'd live in a bucolic setting except that being near the bustle of city life keeps me energized and keeps me from feeling isolated (which depresses me). And I love animals. And art. And crazy artistic people, especially musicians, even though I'm not that creative myself. I also like coffee and beer, so having plenty of one or the other near by would be lovely, though it would likely be better for me if it were coffee. 2) No, I've never been to a wedding or funeral of another culture, most likely because I've never left the U.S. or Canada, but I have been to many funerals and weddings from other religious traditions, largely because Unitarian Universalism just isn't that popular. What skill do you wish you could master that diverges greatly from your current skill set?
Simon Bar Sinister Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 (edited) wothout question, dunking a basketball on an NBA regulation height rim (10 feet, btw) would you pick up a hitchiker(sp?)? Edited September 21, 2009 by SpammerOvTheGods
pomba gira Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Only if they were standing in front of one of those "Prison Area- Do Not Pick Up Hitchhikers" signs. Seriously, prolly not... maybe a woman, if it were cold out... would depend on the vibe/location/circumstances. What's your favorite children's book (picture, not chapter)?
prick Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 I believe it was called I saw it on mullberry street. What is your favorite fall activity outside of holloween of course.
taysteewonderbunny Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Lining my burrow with fur and fattening up for the long hard winter. Duh. Which do you think is more dangerous: lack of faith in oneself to the point that one can't even decide what one wants or likes OR such complete conviction in one's beliefs that all other points of view are excluded?
AstralCrux Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Lack fo faith leads to suicidal tendancies and complete conviction leads to mass murder (think Nazi levels). I'm going with complete conviction is worse... Who's your favorite person to hang with when you want to be happy?
pomba gira Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 My cousin Sondra. She is a true bright spirit. And Prick, that's And To Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street... a classic for sure. Crickets/frogs at night: soothing or annoying?
taysteewonderbunny Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Oh, perfectly soothing...until they suddenly go dead quiet in the darkest part of the night. Then I'm up and sweating bullets and listening for the crackling of underbrush. How does one forgive? What's your theory on the process?
Rev.Reverence Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 My theory, is that it is not as important to forgive, as it is to 'move on & remember' ...'forgive & forget'...that shit is right out...'remember & hold the grudge'...can be taken to far, to fast, to often... To forgive, or deliver unto damnation, is The Almighty Spirit's domain...I reserve final judgment for IT. What is with all the deep questions in this thread as of late? Wasn't this a light hearted thread?
taysteewonderbunny Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Sorry. You're right. I've been preoccupied with too much of my own shit lately. What's the most obscene flavor of ice cream you could imagine yourself eating? e.g. mine's green pea and ham.
Rev.Reverence Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Pizza ice cream (there would be no sugar, & would center on the cheese part, maybe, it'ld work better as a frozen yogurt...?) ...what's the oddest thing you've used Vernor's for? (I've used it to marinade corned beef, in case some of you were thinkin' dirty.)
