I'd think it mildly preferable to my dad having married a male bimbo (I'm not upset he's gay; I'm mad he married a bimbo) and moved to Denver, for at least both of my parents would be in the same town which means that I could conceivably see them both fairly regularly---and then I would let them keep forever the couch I store in my mom's basement. I wouldn't want it anymore. Oh, but I do wish my mom would get laid.
