I've never exactly understood what that term is supposed to mean. How can any interaction between two or more humans be entirely meaningless? But if your question is, "can you have sex with a person without intending the relationship to last forever as a deeply and irreversibly committed one," then my answer is "yes." If your question is, "can you have sex with someone you either don't know or don't like or in a situation you know will end very badly with someone getting hurt," my answer is definitely not. If I have sex with you, you can be damn well sure I think you are a good human being and that I mean you nothing but good will. Yet, I still kind of like angry sex. It doesn't negate the liking or good will part--if it's done right.
