I had a hard time trying to decide between Siouxsie Sioux, the Cure, Joy Division, Buahaus and Psychedelic Furs.

But I like the Cure.

The Misfits?

I've never considered the Misfits a goth band. I've always thought of them as post-punk hardcore. Personally I don't like them. At one time I liked maybe one or two of their songs but not now. When did they come around, 1978 0r '79? That was about the time that punk died-I've always attributed that to bands like them. There music had not style or sexiness to it. It seems like they just wanted to sound and look like punks but they didn't really understand it. Personal opinion.

I was wondering If i shouldn't have put the Damned on the list, however. I decided though, that the Damned were more of a punk band than a goth band.

That Siouxsie movie sounds cool.

was a live gig DVD.

i keep finding about such things the day after. besides gig DVD's are nice to put on now and then when bored or with a few friends and a bottle

Hell yeah. Especially a Siouxsie and the Banshees movie.

I also want to put that my omission of Marilyn Manson was not a mistake, nor was it an error that I left out any of these Emo outfits.

I wanted to list goth bands only.

Yes, Dave.

No, I know who I like, I'm just curious to see who is the ultimate, most powerful goth band in the universe, ever, that's all.

I have never heard those bands anywhere in the "Goth" area... but I am really not an authority

-Because this poll is for goth bands (or as the genre was known in the begining, "goth punk"), only.

This is not about blank generation bands (proper punk bands) which is where the Clash and Ramones would be.

Wow you're really sticking it to me by making me choose between Bauhaus and Joy Division.

are there really any other options? :fear :grin

Bauhaus it is.

I knew that was you. -I had a hard time choosing between the first five choices. Almost voted Bauhaus, for a minute.

Am I the only one who voted for the Furs? What the Hell is wrong with you people? :blink

I want to know who voted X-Ray Spex becuase that person is cool. Even though the X-Ray Spex only had one album.
